Good news for Oldies fans: Fleetwood Mac’s huge 1977 album “Rumours” made it back into the Top 10 this week. The reason --somebody used it as background music for a TikTok video which went viral and pulled down 18 million views. Fleetwood Mac re-posted it on Twitter, adding another 22.5 million views as well. And a good reason to use it --Business Insider sez it ranks Number 11 of the bestselling albums of all time.
Nice tribute for KOBE BRYANT, as the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of African American History and Culture put one of his NBA Finals jerseys --which he donated to the museum back in 2017-- on display as a tribute. The jersey is part of the "Sports: Leveling the Playing Field" gallery, which also features a pair of LeBRON JAMES 15 "Equality" sneakers.
It's not just businessmen who scam friends by using a Ponzi scheme --authorities said yesterday that a New Jersey high school teacher managed to scam from friends and coworkers in one and used the money as a personal piggy bank. Fifty-four-year-old SUZETTE HART was arrested yesterday for the five-year scam in which she told people they could invest money with her in well-known investment funds from 2012 to 2017. To cover the scam and her taking their money, she'd move one investor’s cash funds into another’s account to show a phony profit.
Who do you use to search the internet on your phone or computer? If you said "Google," you're not alone, and that's why the U.S. Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against the company claiming antitrust violations, which they claim controls about 90% of global web searches. The Justice Department is also in the process of investigating other tech companies including Apple, Amazon and Facebook as well.
Question for your listeners: what search engine do you use... and is there anybody better?
Show biz: If your kids were fans of “The Power Rangers” --there's a reboot coming for both a movie and TV series. There's already been two movies, one in 1995, another in 1997, and a third in 2017 (which made only $142 million on a budget of around $100 million). There have also been several TV series throughout the past 20 years as well.
Finally, Variety reports three's another “Willow” movie in the works, once again starring WARWICK DAVIS and being produced by RON HOWARD, who directed the original film. The movie will reportedly introduce all-new characters to the magical realm of fairy queens and two-headed Eborsisk monsters.
