Sports note: The folks at Callaway Golf have announced they're going to buy the rest of Topgolf, which owns about 60 driving-range entertainment centers in the US. The deal would cost more than $2 billion.
Looking for a holiday job to make some cash for holiday gifts? Amazon is looking to hire 100-thousand workers for the usual seasonal surge... and there'll probably be more people ordering that way and having the gifts delivered because of the coronavirus pandemic. And Amazon isn't the only one looking to hire seasonal employees --delivery companies like UPS are as well.
Netflix is reportedly putting together a live-action TV series based on the Ubisoft game, ‘Assassin’s Creed.’ Not a bad idea, since the video game has sold more than 155 million games worldwide. No word on when the show might debut at this point.
It'll be DEMI LOVATO hosting the upcoming People’s Choice Awards on November 15th. With the pandemic in effect, the show will be broadcast live on E! Entertainment TV. You may remember Demi sang the National Anthem at this year's Super Bowl in February.
Nice note: EDDIE VAN HALEN’s Southern California hometown has decided to hold a memorial service for him, but nothing has been set yet. The Pasadena Star-News also reports they've got to decide on a statue, a plaque, rechristening a city building, or perhaps renaming a street near one of the band’s 1970s rehearsal spaces.
A sad note: JAMIE FOXX's sister, DeONDRA DIXON, passed away yesterday --she was only 36. DeOndra had Down syndrome and was an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
