Lotsa people buying lottery tickets since there was no winner for the Powerball jackpot --which is now more than a half-billion dollars-- or Mega Millions, which is higher and reached $600 million for the fourth time ever in history. The next Mega Millions numbers will be drawn Tuesday night, and the next Powerball numbers Wednesday night.
What else is up? Gas prices. The average price of regular gas has jumped up about 9 cents a gallon in the past three weeks, and is now $2.35. Still, that's 30 cents less than it was a year ago.
Hats off to the folks at Pepsi, who have said they'll play less Super Bowl commercials in order to give more time to the Halftime Show. As you may have heard, THE WEEKND will be this year's Halftime Show performer during Super Bowl LV on CBS Feb. 07.
Why do people want PRESIDENT TRUMP to be impeached? Sure, his move to incite the invasion of the Capitol. But, if you're not aware of it, impeachment would also result in Trump getting cut off from all his Presidential retirement benefits as set forth in the 1958 Former Presidents Act. That gives retiring Presidents millions of dollars a year in a pension, access to health insurance, office space and staff, and Secret Service protection for life --or for as long as they want it. But, if the President is impeached, guess what --no deal and no millions of dollars of benefits.
Former California governor and movie star ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER labeled PRESIDENT TRUMP as the 'worst president ever' after last week's Capitol riot. Get the diatribe from his twitter account here: twitter.com/Schwarzenegger
And if you're a Trump supporter, you've probably heard about the social network Parler. Like Twitter, Parler has been the recipient of many of Trump’s loyal supporters after he was kicked off several sites, including Twitter and Facebook. But it may be temporary, since Slate.com reports Amazon has reportedly notified Parler that it would suspend its web-hosting service beginning Sunday night. Both Apple and Google have also removed the app from their app stores as well.
