Not what I'd want displayed in my bathroom --but who knows --you might. The folks at Alexander Auctions are selling Adolf Hitler's toilet seat. The seat --looted from the dictator's private bathroom at his retreat in the Bavarian Alps-- is estimated to bring in around 15-thousand pounds (a bit more than $20-thousand dollars) when it's auctioned off next week in Maryland. The seat was stolen by a US soldier --Sergeant RAGNVALD BORCH-- when allied soldiers discovered --and looted the hideaway with the approval of their officers-- in the Bavarian Alps. When asked by another soldier why he was carrying a toilet seat, the Sergeant reportedly answered: "Where do you think Hitler put his ass?" It's been on display in his basement in New Jersey since he returned from the war. In case you're interested, the London Daily Mail claims the record for such an item at an auction is reportedly the $1200 paid last year for a 1975 toilet seat cover belonging to BILL WYMAN, sporting a Rolling Stones tongue logo.
TV stuff: Disney Plus is reportedly putting together a series set in Wakanda --the fictional African nation from the "Black Panther" movie last year. RYAN COOGLER, who directed and co-wrote the original film, is reportedly working on the sequel.
More tube stuff: The folks at National Geographic are doing a documentary on the man we've all come to know much better --infectious disease expert Dr. ANTHONY FAUCI. The film will reportedly look at his career up to and including his COVID-19 duties, and include interviews with former President GEORGE W. BUSH, BILL GATES and BONO.
Even more tube news: Fox News reports CBS' new Paramount+ network is working on a revival of the KELSEY GRAMMER series, "Frasier." And, even better for fans of the series, it's rumored that Kelsey will return as Dr. Frasier Crane as well.
Movie news: Look for JENNIFER LOPEZ in a new Netflix action film called “The Mother,” in which she'll reportedly star as an assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her daughter she gave up years earlier.
Those of you who've been frustrated by the inability of your Apple iPhone's ability to recognize your face while you're wearing a mask, have some good news ahead. The next operating system update will supposedly let you do it... with one catch --you have to be wearing an Apple Watch as well.
Last but not least: It's being reported that former President DONALD TRUMP's son-in-law, JARED KUSHNER, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize along with his deputy for their roles in negotiating four deals between Israel and various Arab nations. And it turns out that ALAN DERSHOWITZ, the guy who nominated them, is the lawyer who defended the former President in his first impeachment trial.
