See ya: England's ITV network has booted PIERS MORGAN from "Good Morning Britain" after he said he "didn't believe a word" that MEGHAN MARKLE told OPRAH WINFREY about her mental health in the recent interview. "Who did you go to?" he said. "What did they say to you? I'm sorry, I don't believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn't believe it if she read me a weather report." The remark got 41-thousand complaints to the network by 2 pm that afternoon, bringing Piers' time there to an end after six years.
Live in Los Angeles and wanna see a movie at a theatre? No problem, since the vaccinations and infections from COVID-19 are now at levels which the Department of Public Health says could allow movie theaters to reopen with a 25% capacity as early as March 19. New York City and San Francisco have already reopened theaters this past weekend with a 25% capacity limit as well.
Pushing up daisies: Classic TV anchorman ROGER MUDD, who was at CBS News and NBC News for 25 years, died Tuesday of complications from kidney failure at his home in McLean, Virginia. He was 93.
Ratings have been good, so CBS has picked up it's new show, “The Equalizer,” starring QUEEN LATIFAH, for a second season. You might have seen the premiere following the Super Bowl.
SELENA GOMEZ tells Vogue magazine that she might not stay with music forever. Selena, who's on the cover of this month's magazine, says "It's hard to keep doing music when people don't necessarily take you seriously. I've had moments where I've been like, 'What's the point? Why do I keep doing this?'"
Ever want to shoot somebody whose dog poops on your lawn? It's what MICHAEL CLOSE, a 37-year-old Denver man, did back in June, when he took his AK-47 and fatally shot 21-year-old ISABELLA THOMAS, and wounded her boyfriend, 27-year-old DARIAN SIMON, outside his apartment after their dog pooped in a rock garden there. He's pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. "Are you going to train that bleep-ing dog or just yell at it?" Close reportedly said before opening up. Close’s girlfriend, Chelsea Thompson, told cops that he "was not mentally stable" and had also been diagnosed with depression and a personality disorder, but had not sought treatment. She also told police that he had a history of abusing drugs, including cocaine, and had recently started drinking again after three years of sobriety.
The San Francisco Police Department are investigating an incident in which several Uber passengers refused to wear masks --then, when the driver asked them to leave the car since they wouldn't put on masks, one of the passengers stole the driver's cellphone and another who'd left the car sprayed pepper spray into the car towards the driver. FYI: Uber has a mask policy and California also has a statewide mask mandate.
Ever got a tattoo that might have been a little racy, then regretted it? MARIA AVERY got on TikTok and talked about how --when she was 18 years old-- she saw the "inspirational phrase" "keep going" and had the phrase put on her hip ...near her private parts. Her family was shocked, and reportedly told her "what the bleep is that? It looks so sexual, get it removed." So, a year later, she added the word "forward" to the phrase... "Keep going forward." but then says it ended up making it even worse. Finally, she had it covered up by the tattoo artist making it into a flower.
Question for listeners: What tattoo do you have that got negative comments from family, friends... anybody? And... did you change it?
