Scamma-lamma-ding-dong: Gotta love ZACHARY HORWITZ, whom FBI agents arrested Tuesday on charges of running a Ponzi scheme that reportedly raked in $690 million bucks. Horwitz allegedly raised funds from investors for film licensing deals with Netflix and HBO ...that didn't exist. With the money he got he allegedly took trips to Vegas, chartered private jet flights, picked up several pricey cars and bought a $5.7 million dollar mansion in LA and shelled out over half-a-million to a celebrity interior decorator for the place.
If you liked PRINCE HARRY and MEGHAN MARKLE's interview with OPRAH WINFREY --did it inspire you to watch some episodes of Netflix's "The Crown"? Turns out a lot of people did, since ratings for that show picked up 85-percent and it ranked sixth in the Nielsen ratings the week after.
In case you're now hooked, Netflix is gearing up for the fifth season of the show which will start in July --plenty of time for you to catch up on the back episodes.
The Peacock streaming service has picked up a reboot of “Queer as Folk,” which originally ran from 2000-to-2005.
Fast food: Jack in the Box has added some new breakfast egg sandwiches-- a Bacon Cheddar Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich and a Sausage Cheddar Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich. They also have added a new Chicken Cheddar Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich. They're all available for a limited time.
See ya: CBS is cancelling its new version of MacGyver at the end of this season (April 30). The new show starred LUCAS TILL in the role originally starring RICHARD DEAD ANDERSON.
Update: More guest hosts coming for "Jeopardy!" As regular viewers know, quarterback AARON RODGERS is the latest host, and will be replaced by CNN anchor ANDERSON COOPER from April 19th-30th. Then, "60 Minutes" correspondent BILL WHITAKER will be the question card reader from May 3rd to 14th, and actress MAYIM BIALIK will do May 31st thru June 11th.
Tired of JOE BIDEN already? Don't wanna see DONALD TRUMP ever again? A new survey shows nearly half of Americans would like to see DWAYNE “The Rock” JOHNSON run for president! The NY Post reports 29 percent of people surveyed would like to see both MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY and the Rock --who are both interested in running for Texas governor and US president, respectively-- run for office. Other people that were viewed as prospective candidates for president:
--Tom Hanks (22 percent),
--Will Smith (21 percent),
--Angelina Jolie (30 percent), and
--Oprah Winfrey (27 percent).
Of course, that brings us to a question for your listeners: Who would you like to see run for office, either as President or locally? -
