Big story yesterday was that Orlando theme parks --both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios-- have decided to cut back on restrictions put in place for the pandemic. In May, Disney will be phasing out taking temperatures for both visitors and theme park workers. Disney is also letting guests to remove their face masks when taking a photo outdoors --provided they are physically distanced and remain stationary. What's wrong with this picture: the National Park Service says more than 45-thousand people have applied for a permit to kill bison in the Grand Canyon. While this may seem inhumane, the Park Service says the bison have become "overpopulated," and may cause environmental damage. They held a lottery for 12 "skilled volunteers" who will be given the opportunity to kill a bison in the park's North Rim area --but don't call it "hunting," because that's not allowed in the National Parks.
