Longevity: NBC has picked up the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” for a 57th and 58th season. The show aired its 14-thousandth episode in December and (of course) is NBC’s longest-running series.

As you probably know, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be putting JAY-Z, the GO-GO’S, TINA TURNER, TODD RUNDGREN, CAROLE KING and the FOO FIGHTERS in the Cleveland Hall this year. But who was eligible and didn't make the class of 2021? KATE BUSH, DEVO, DIONNE WARWICK, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, CHAKA KHAN, IRON MAIDEN, MARY J. BLIGE, the NEW YORK DOLLS, Nigerian bandleader FELA KUTI and LL COOL J.

If you didn't know, there was no winner for the Mega Millions jackpot in Tuesday night's drawing. That means it'll be up to $430 million (or $291.1 million in cash) for Friday's night's drawing at 10 p.m.

The gas prices rose yesterday as the average price of a gallon hit 3 bucks --the highest US average since October 2014, according to the folks at Triple-A.

In Chicago, the city has decided to release over a thousand feral cats onto the streets to control the rodent population there. The city calls it the "Cats at Work" program, and has been doing it since 2012. The cats are spayed or neutered by the Tree House Humane Society before they're re-released back into the city.

See ya: ELLEN DeGENERES has decided to end her talk show after 19 seasons and more than 3,000 episodes. “When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged --and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore,” she told the Hollywood Reporter.

Fast food: They’re laying off the sauce. Chick-fil-A plans to limit the number of sauces that customers get with their food, claiming there's an "industry-wide supply shortage." Basically, you'll get just one tub of sauce per entrée, two per meal and three per order of 30-count nuggets. Of course, you can still buy its sauces in some grocery stores if you're jonesing for the flavor.

The folks who made "Uncle Ben's" rice now have stocked store shelves across the country with new packaging and it's now called "Ben's Original" rice. Mars Food says the overhaul in imaging is just about a year after they announced they would change the name in the wake of calls for racial equity following the death of GEORGE FLOYD.

Quaker Oats has also renamed it's Aunt Jemima brand to Pearl Milling Company, with the name on its various products including pancake mixes, syrups, cornmeal, flour, and grits. They'll be in stores beginning in June.
