Looking for a place to rent for summer vacation? Turns out “The Real Housewives of New York” star LUANN de LESSEPS has put her Sag Harbor, New York, home (out on the end of Long Island past the Hamptons) on the market for rentals this summer. The home was originally built in 1835 and has (of course) been renovated since then. It has 25-hundred square feet --for that you get four bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen and large outdoor deck which comes with water views as well as its own dock on the cove. How much? Luann wants $100,000 dollars for the month of July; $200,000 for both July and August; or $110,000 for just August.
Phoner: For more, give the broker a call --CHRIS BURNSIDE, of Brown Harris Stevens. The SAG Harbor office phone for the company is 631-725-2250.
Thinking about *not* wearing your mask on board that first airline flight you're taking now that the Coronavirus is on its last legs? Guess what --The FAA says you're required by federal law to wear a mask on public transportation, including planes, buses, and trains. And the FAA has popped more than $60-thousand dollars in fines against unruly passengers who refused to wear their masks --two of them actually assaulted their flight attendants! The FAA says this is a bad year for air travel --usually they get between 100-150 cases where passengers perform badly and need to be fined. But this year, the number is 25-hundred... and we've still got six months left.
Good news for STEVEN COLBERT --CBS says they will resume broadcasting from The Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway on June 14th, with an audience of 400. The network also said guests will provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and face masks will be optional for those in the crowd.
Another "Willy Wonka" film in the works at Warner Brothers. The film, called simply "Wonka," will be based on the characters in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and have TIMOTHEE CHALAMET as a young Willie, way before he opened his factory. It should be in theatres in March of 2023.
What did you do as part of a senior prank? At Comfort High School in Texas, their senior prank involved "forking the field" --sticking plastic forks in the dirt of the school's practice football field. But after they pulled it off, half of graduating class --40 students who took part-- were suspended. One of the problems was that as well as "forking the field," some of the students also went inside the school and took some liberties, including blowing up balloons, rolling saran wrap over doors --but no graffiti or other damage and destruction. Even so, the 40 students have been put into "in-school suspension" for their last two weeks of school.
Obvious listener phoner: What was your senior prank and did you get away with it???
