Hail to the (former) chief: BILL CLINTON has teamed up for another book with famed thriller author JAMES PATTERSON. It's their second book together --the first one, called "The President is Missing," sold more than three million copies. The new one, called "The President's Daughter," is also a political thriller, and will be out later this month.
As long as we're on former presidents, let's talk DONALD TRUMP, who said yesterday he believes Bitcoin is a "scam" and will affect the price of the US dollar. Of course, everybody is upset that the price of Bitcoin has been falling steadily since early May and so far has not recovered.
Tube talk: KEVIN HART's action-comedy series “Die Hart” has been renewed for a second season on the Roku channel. Roku picked up the assets of former Quibi series after the network went belly-up last fall. One of them was Kevin's first season. And in case you were wondering, season two of the show will be called “Die Harter.” (Yes, you probably saw that coming). You can get the Roku Channel on the web, iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV and select Samsung smart TV models.
Good news for fans of MTV's VMA Awards show --the Video Music Awards will be back September 12th and it'll be a live show airing from the Barclays Center in New York City. MTV says the event will have performers as well, but no word about a live audience or what percentage of the theatre will be filled.
Look for TARAJI P. HENSON starring in this year's holiday production of “Annie Live!” NBC says she'll play Miss Hannigan on the show, but no word on Annie yet. That's because NBC is doing a nationwide "virtual casting search" during October and early November for the little actress to star in the show. The original musical premiered on Broadway back in 1977 (44 years ago). NBC's "Annie Live!" will be on the network on Thursday, December 2nd.
