The FOO FIGHTERS have had to cancel their Saturday (July 17th) concert at the LA Forum (celebrating its reopening, by the way) after DAVE GROHL announced that somebody in the band contracted the Coronavirus. While they didn't say who, they did say their postponement was made “out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans.” And the announcement also said they’d announce a new date shortly and “tickets for the July 17th date will be honored for the new date.”
Meanwhile, OLIVIA RODRIGO spent some quality time yesterday helping PRESIDENT BIDEN plead with young people to get their Covid-19 vaccines. The "Driver's Licence" and "Deja Vu" singer is the third artist to plug getting vaccinations; country singer BRAD PAISLEY and actor JENNIFER GARNER were also among the celebrities enlisted for the cause.
Meanwhile, comedian GABRIEL "Fluffy" IGLESIAS revealed on Twitter that he's tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result, is cancelling the remainder of his San Antonio stint at the Tobin Center.
Movie news: MADONNA’s upcoming “Madame X” concert film will hit your TV October 8th on Paramount+. The film reportedly follows Madge and around 50 performers including her children, musicians and dancers from around the globe, as well as the all-female Orquestra Batukadeiras.
Country music: There's a new, 90-minute CMT special about CHARLEY PRICE coming in August. “CMT Giants: Charley Pride” will also reportedly include LUKE COMBS, GARTH BROOKS, MICKEY GUYTON and DARIUS RUCKER putting their two cents in about Charley and (hopefully) doing a little music with Charley or some of his songs as well.
