Over the weekend, the folks at Julien’s Auctions sold off more than 800 of AMY WINEHOUSE's dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories that she wore during her career, with a halter minidress that she wore during her final stage performance selling for more than $243-thousand dollars. Amy passed away from alcohol poisoning at her home in North London, in July of 2011. She was just 27 years old. More than $4 million dollars was raised at the auction, and the money will be going to a foundation which her parents set up to help young people with addiction issues.
There's a tenth and final installment of the "Fast & Furious" movies coming, and VIN DIESEL has asked DWAYNE "The Rock" JOHNSON in an Instagram post to rejoin him in the film, noting that The Rock's character could not be played by anyone else. The problem is the ongoing feud between the pair for the franchise, which resulted in them not being in scenes together in 2017's "The Fate of the Furious." Then Diesel did not appear in 2019's "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw." And Vin was in "Fast & Furious 9," but not The Rock. Now, for the 10th film, Vin's letter to The Rock said "I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love... but you must show up. I hope you rise to the occasion and fulfil your destiny," he wrote. "Fast & Furious 10" is scheduled to be released in April 2023.
COVID update: BIG BIRD said Saturday “I got the COVID-19 vaccine today!” Turns out although you may have seen Big Bird for years, the “Sesame Street” character is only six years old, and therefore eligible to get the vaccine along with kids ages 5 to 11-years-old. He also posted a note on Twitter, saying “My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy. Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!” And, in case you're wondering, ELMO, who's only three years old, isn’t yet old enough to get his COVID shot.
