See ya: No more CHRIS NOTH in the season finale of “And Just Like That.” TV Line reports Noth --whose character died back in the first episode-- was edited out of the finale after sexual assault allegations from five women. In the finale, Noth's character, Big, would appear next to Carrie as she scattered his ashes from the famed Pont des Arts in Paris, where the couple once shared a romantic moment in the original series. For his part, Noth has denied any assault on the various women and said the claims were “categorically false....no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.”
COVID: NBC's “Today” show host, HODA KOTB, who said yesterday that she's tested positive for Covid. "Thx for well wishes!" she tweeted. "Feeling good. Can't wait to see you all when I am in the clear! XO."
More COVID: Variety reports the TV series “Chicago Fire” has halted production for at least a week after several cast and crew members tested positive for Covid-19. The show's cast had recently returned to filming after a holiday break. They may resume production next week.
Even more COVID: Guitarist and singer JOHN MAYER will not be appearing at the "Playing in the Sand" festival from January 7th thru the 10th in Cancun, Mexico, with the band DEAD & COMPANY, because he has tested positive for Covid-19. No word on the band's former Grateful Dead members, including MICKEY HART, BILL KREUTZMANN and BOB WEIR.
Billboard magazine reports KANYE WEST will headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April. Kanye --or now just "Ye"-- would likely be doing festival-closing sets on April 17th and 24th. Of course, there's still the possibility that the festival, which draws 125-thousand fans a day for two weekends, could be canceled because of the fast-spreading Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
The folks at JOHN DEERE have unveiled a new tractor. Normally, this wouldn't be big news, but the new tractor is driverless and can be controlled by farmers using a smartphone. The "8R" Tractor was shown off at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. No word yet on how much it will cost farmers. Interestingly, when it's running through a field, the tractor reportedly even stops ploughing if an animal runs in front of it or it finds an object in its path.
