Income tax filing season opens on Monday. But IRS officials are already warning filers that “in many areas, we are unable to deliver the amount of service and enforcement that our taxpayers and tax system deserves and needs.” Delays in processing are to be expected --especially because the IRS says it still is working through 2020 tax returns. The IRS says you should file electronically, and those who expect hefty refunds in the tens of thousands should expect greater delays. They claim that most taxpayers will receive their refund within 21 days of when they file electronically, barring any issues with processing their return.
DON WILSON, the co-founder and rhythm guitarist for THE VENTURES, died Saturday of natural causes in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 88.

Ever had this happen to you? One of those robot vacuum cleaners made a break for freedom after giving the staff at a Travelodge hotel the slip by failing to stop at the front door of the hotel. They finally found it nestled under a hedge two days later, and the hotel staff say it's been dusted off and "is now back sitting happily on a shelf with the rest of its robot vacuum family."
