Sad news about Bruce Willis, who just turned 67 this month and has been a great action movie star with "Die Hard." Already dealing with a lifetime of hearing loss thanks to the blanks in his prop gun used in the movies, he's just been diagnosed with aphasia. The disorder which affects the brain can --in the long run-- damage a person’s ability to understand or express speech. Now he's decided to quit acting which his ex-wife, Demi Moore, announced in a sad Instagram post on Wednesday which was signed by his new wife and all his children.
See ya: Dr. Mehmet Oz is no longer the go-to expert on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition after he was fired on Wednesday. Oz is running for the Senate in Pennsylvania to replace Sen. Pat Toomey, a Republican who's retiring, which may be why the White House asked him to resign a week ago and then canned him. Part of the problem for the Biden White House may have been Oz's answer when he was first asked to resign. He tweeted, “I have no intention of resigning. “If President Biden wants to politicize health, he will have to fire me. You would think record gas prices, a 40-year inflation high, and the situation in Ukraine would be his highest priorities at the moment.”
Would seven children be too much for you to take care of? Not if you're married to Alec Baldwin, apparently. He and wife Hilaria announced yesterday they're expecting a seventh child, saying "We have an exciting and huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall."
Note: The latest news about Alec Baldwin came several months ago when he was involved in the fatal shooting of the cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, on the set of his upcoming film, "Rust."
Sorry you didn't catch the movie "Coda," which received the "Best Picture" Oscar on Sunday? No problem --the folks at Apple have decided to re-release “Coda” in movie theaters tomorrow (Friday). The is about the only hearing member of a deaf family --and her relationship with her parents and brother. Because it's about a deaf family who are signing, it will also come with captioning.
The folks at Netflix have decided to reboot “Spy Kids,” the early 2000s action-adventure franchise about a family of super-secret agents. The original “Spy Kids” movie was about Carmen and Juni Cortez (played by Alexa PenaVega and Daryl Sabara), two young kids who were unaware that their parents (played by Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) worked for a spy agency. No word on the stars for the new Netflix series.
