Anniversaries:
--(58th anniversary) Direct-Dial telephone service began coast to coast, as area codes first introduced in North America, 1951. Remember, this was before push-button phones. And the dials were METAL. These days, someone would be getting millions of dollars after suing for finger injuries.
--The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, during a storm on Lake Superior (1975). The legend lives on.
--(30 years ago today) Sony announced the development of a hand-held, lightweight, portable tape cassette recorder-player with matching headphones. It was called "the Walkman" (1979)
--Microsoft unloads its first edition of the Windows operating system on an unsuspecting public (1983).
Looking at Logos:
A guy in Florida has found a way to beat the bad economy.
Reuters says 26-year-old JASON SADLER is selling the shirt off his back --sort of. The unemployed former marketing exec is the founder of iwearyourshirt.com. Sadler wears a different company logo on his shirt every day --acting as a human billboard. And, he charges clients based on a sliding scale. If you want Sadler to wear your shirt on January 1st, it only costs 1-dollar. But, on December 31st, he charges 365-dollars.
Sadler says, "I walk around, take photos, wear the shirt all day. I blog about those photos, I put 'em up on Twitter, I change my Facebook profile ... and then I do a YouTube video."
Sadler claims he earned 83-thousand dollars this year. And, he's so successful that he's even hiring another guy to start wearing shirts too. (Still)
Nashville update:
Editor's note: The RBR's Cory Myers is in Nashville this week for the 43rd Annual CMA Awards. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood host live on ABC, Wed, Nov 11.
TIM McGRAW is a whole new man. The hubby of FAITH HILL came around to talk to radio stations from all across the country who are in town for the Country Music Association awards. Tim went through a rough couple of years drinking and letting his ego get the best of him. He took time with each station and seemed genuine and sincere in his conversations. He's planning the biggest tour he's ever done to support his CD "Southern Voice" and then sent fancy tins of cookies to everyone with a thank-you note to everyone he talked to.
KEITH URBAN also took time out of his schedule to chat about his five nominations including the biggie - Entertainer of the Year. He said he's more than excited about that one but if TAYLOR SWIFT wins it, he's "pulling a KANYE."
BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD, cohosts for the big evening, stopped by to chat about their duties on Wednesday night. Carrie is excited about the wardrobe changes and her song "Cowboy Casanova" going number one. Brad wasn't excited that it unseated his "Welcome to the Future" but said he had no hard feelings.
Concert Info:

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting this morning at 10 am, with the public on-sale happening Saturday at 11 am. (Marino)
Swallowing the punch:
That condensation that forms on your car windows every morning is usually pretty annoying. But, not to this guy.
The Johnson City Press says JIM STEVENS is in awe of the condensation on his pickup truck. That's 'cause Stevens claims the face of JESUS has appeared there for the past two weeks (picture). He says the mysterious image disappears as the condensation evaporates. But, it reappears again the next morning. Even rolling the windows up and down won't make it go away.
Stevens says he's not religious and he has no idea why this is happening to him. But --he also says he has no intention of washing it off. (Still)
