Splitting:
JOE JONAS has struck again. The 20-year-old heart throb made headlines back in '08 when he dumped TAYLOR SWIFT during a "twenty-seven-second" phone call and it looks like he's used to same M-O to give DEMI LOVATO her walking papers.
A source close to the young couple tells Us Weekly the sensitive singer just didn't have the heart to do it in person --it was just last week that Demi gushed that they'd always be best friends. The pair originally met on the set of "Camp Rock," and toured together in 2008, but never admitted they were a couple until three months ago.
Now, it's o-v-e-r and the timing couldn't be worse --they're set to hit the road together for a tour this summer. (Lee)Guilty Pleasures:
Good news for all you Farmville geeks! Zynga, the folks who put the Facebook game together, along with Café World, Mafia Wars and Petville, have settled their big-bucks renewal and will be staying on the social-networking site so you have plenty of places to waste time online.
The company was going to jerk all the games off F/B and open up their own social gaming network called Zynga Live, but has renewed their agreement. The Airlines:
The cost of taking an airplane trip just about anywhere is going up this summer.
Airlines are imposing $10-$30 one-way fees for peak travel days this summer, which happen to be 73 out of the 74 days between June 10 and Aug 22 --fees that could add up to $240 to a trip to a for a family of four.
Sundays will be the most expensive days when you get the $30 surcharge. It'll be less on other days.
It's basically a trick to allow airlines to raise prices for the summer without raising airfares.
All the airlines are imposing these fees except for Southwest and Jet Blue. (Maiman)Broadcast, cable and video news:
JESSE JAMES will be interviewed on "Nightline" tonight and ABC says he'll confess that he "wanted to get caught" cheating on wife SANDRA BULLOCK.
On tonight's show, he admits he "felt horrible" sleeping with his mistresses but believes he was trying to "self-sabotage" his life: "When I was doing it, you know, one, I knew it was horrible," he says. "It made me feel horrible... and two, I knew I would get caught eventually, and I think I wanted to get caught."
Still, he says he "still loves" Sandra: "It's still hard for me to talk about, a little bit, because I still really love her and care about her," he says.Stars and their movies:
Are you ready for another installment of "Tango and Cash?" SYLVESTER STALLONE thinks it's a great idea! Sources close to the aging action star tell AbsoluteNow.com that he'd like to resurrect the character he played opposite KURT RUSSELL and believes audiences are hungry for an old-fashioned detective flick. Grace notes:
CHRISTINA AGUILERA has canceled her summer tour. The singer's spokesperson announced yesterday that because Christina had to work on a movie and her new album, there wasn't enough time to rehearse for live performances. The tour was supposed to kick off in July, but the dates will be rescheduled for later this year. Christina's new album, "Bionic," will be out on June 8th, and the movie "Burlesque," opens in the fall. (Marino)
