Time is running out to enter for a chance to win a ride in the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile! Through June 4, Kraft Foods is taking bids on eBay for a "Ride Shotbun in the Wienermobile" package. It includes use of the vehicle for a day, a catered Oscar Mayer cookout for 50 (complete with a grill) and a year's supply of hot dogs.
Proceeds from the auction (at eBay.com/OscarMayer) will support Oscar Mayer's "Good Mood Mission" to benefit hunger-relief organization Feeding America. (Kaye)Sucks to be you:
Note: nentions RYAN SEACREST.
CRYSTAL BOWERSOX has nerves of steel. The almost "American Idol" revealed to RYAN SEACREST that she broke up with her boyfriend, TONY, just hours before taking the stage for her final performance on the season finale. The gracious ex-girlfriend admitted that he'd been amazing through the whole process, they plan to be friends for a long time and he's just a small-town boy that couldn't get used to her new career in showbiz. (Lee)Meanwhile, LEA MICHELE has been keeping a lid on her romantic life. Us Weekly reports that the "Glee" star has been dating Broadway star THEO STOCKMAN for about a year. (Myers)
Reality Round-Up:
Not everyone on the "American Idol" staff was ready to celebrate after the season finale. Spies on the show tell TMZ.com that bandleader RICKEY MINOR was livid that no one thanked him or wished him well after six years of crafting the stars of tomorrow. Mr. Minor is headed off to greener pastures on "The Tonight Show" with JAY LENO, but made a point to tell producers that he was very insulted and RANDY JACKSON had to persuade him to attend the after-party. Movies opening this weekend (May 28):
The bad reviews that "Sex and the City 2" pulled in didn't stop fans from seeing the sequel Thursday, as midnight performances pulled in around $3 million. The Hollywood Reporter says that's about 20 percent more than the original made. The flick is expected to pull more than $60 million this Memorial Day weekend.
Grace notes:
BON JOVI officially opened the brand new Meadowlands Stadium Wednesday night in New Jersey. 65,000 fans were there for the sold-out concert, and JON BON JOVI was proud to tell the crowd that they were sitting in the home of the 2014 Super Bowl. The NFL made that announcement on Tuesday. The stadium is owned by the New York Giants and Jets, just down the road from the teams' previous home, Giants Stadium. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN played the final concert at that facility back in October. (Marino)
