Engaged:
LINDA HOGAN --who's 50-- and 21-year-old boyfriend, CHARLIE HILL. The National Enquirer reports the pair will wed next month aboard Linda's new yacht, named Alimoney. Linda was divorced from HULK HOGAN [real name: TERRY BOLLEA] last year.
BP Oil Spill - Day 98:
While the crude oil clean-up continues in the Gulf of Mexico, crews say they're having a tough time finding all the oil that spewed from the BP well. ABC News reports that the massive oil slick from the spill was the size of Kansas last month, but now, it's "only" as big as New Hampshire.
So where's the oil? Some experts tell ABC that apparently, much of the oil has somehow dispersed, and may actually have been "absorbed" by Mother Nature.
Just last Thursday, only about two-hundred barrels of oily water was picked up by all the skimmers in the area. (Pacelli)Damage Control:
So-called "friends" of ELIZABETH MOSS may want to delete her from their Facebook account! The "Mad Men" starlet tells AbsoluteNow.com that she's got a page on the social networking site despite the fact that she's not even a member. Elizabeth believes a fan gone wild may be behind the link but hopes people understand she's not being rude if they write a message and get no response. (Lee)
Casting Call:
James Bond star DANIEL CRAIG has signed to be the hero of the movie version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." It's the first novel in STIEG LARSSON's best-selling trilogy, which --of course-- opens the door to sequel possibilities should the first movie do well.
The Hollywood Reporter says Craig was currently talking to Bond producers about the next film in the series, but has been stymied because of MGM's endless financial restructuring, so "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" will give him something to do in the meantime. He's also been working on the JON FAVREAU movie, "Cowboys and Aliens" with HARRISON FORD, OLIVIA WILDE (from "House") and SAM ROCKWELL.
"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" is slated to open Dec 21, 2011.Grace notes:
AL GOODMAN of THE MOMENTS and RAY, GOODMAN & BROWN, is dead. According to wall postings on his Facebook page, and other sources, Al died yesterday at age 64. He was the bass singer for both groups. As The Moments, the vocal trio scored a number three hit in 1970 with "Love On A Two-Way Street." After the name change to Ray, Goodman & Brown, they made it up to number 5 with "Special Lady" in 1980. HARRY RAY died in 1992. (Marino)
