Study --teen sex may not be all bad:
Teens who have sex don't necessarily hurt their grades. It all depends on who they're having sex with.
According to researchers, teens who only have sex with their romantic partners do just as well in school as teens who practice abstinence. But teenagers who have casual sex tend to have problems in school.
Data presented at the annual meeting of the American Sociological Association shows that teens who have sex they describe as "hook-ups," "friends with benefits" or "bed buddies" are significantly more likely to miss school days, face suspension or be expelled. This is especially true for male students. (Page)
