I'm a Poll Man:

She gets plenty of TV time and Tweets like nobody's business but 59 percent of Americans think SARAH PALIN isn't fit to be president of the United States.
   The new 60 Minutes / Vanity Fair poll found that 26 percent think she would be an effective commander-in-chief, and Republicans splitting 47-40 on the question of whether Palin can lead the country.
Also in the poll: Would you go see a MEL GIBSON movie? If you said, "yes," you're like three-quarters of Americans who say the scandal with his former girlfriend, OKSANA GRIGORIEVA, doesn't mean very much and they're relatively unaffected when it comes to his movies: 80 percent of men and 72 percent of women said there's really no problem with Mel's movies.
   And despite the popularity of vampire films, more Americans believe in ghosts than they do in vampires. When they were asked which was more believable, and given the choices of vampires, ghosts. Bigfoot, UFOs and the Loch Ness Monster, 33 percent picked ghosts, followed by UFOs. Vampires came in with a mere seven percent.

The Reel Deal:

Forget MEL GIBSON, you gotta love SHIA LaBEOUF. For the second straight year, Shia is the actor who makes more money from his films --considering his salary-- than anyone else in Hollywood.
   Forbes magazine says that for every $1 Shia was paid, the movie in which he appeared earned $81 in profit.
   Actress ANNE HATHAWAY came in second in the poll, thanks to the $1 billion that "Alice in Wonderland" made worldwide. Her films made $64 in profit for each $1 she earned last year. The top-10:

Looking ahead:

Might former U-S United Nations Ambassador JOHN BOLTON run for president in 2012? He's apparently not rejecting the idea just yet.
   He tells the Daily Caller, "I'm obviously not a politician. I've never run for any federal elective office at all and, you know, it is something that would obviously require a great deal of effort."
   But he added, "What I do think, though, and what concerns me, is the lack of focus generally in the national debate about national security issues. Now, I understand the economy is in a ditch and people are concerned about it, but our adversaries overseas are not going to wait for us to get our economic house in order." (Pacelli)
