The Battle goes on:
Say goodbye to the Times Square Bomber. He received six consecutive life sentences yesterday for his failed attempt to blow up a car in one of Manhattan's busiest areas.
FAISAL SHAZAD, a naturalized American citizen and former Connecticut resident, told the judge that he felt no remorse over the bombing and added that even though he had taken an oath to become an American, "I did swear, but I didn't mean it."
And of course, he gave that same line of B-S they make all these guys memorize. Before the sentencing began, he said, "Brace yourself because the war with the Muslims has only just begun. The defeat of the U-S is imminent and will happen in the near future."
Editor's note: Yeah, but you'll never get to pray in the Ground Zero mosque there, Pedro. Now how about a nice ham sandwich? (Maiman)Sucking the life out of the wire services:
Looks like OKSANA GRIEGORIEVA won't be breaking out the waterworks for OPRAH WINFREY. Rumors were swirling that MEL GIBSON's baby mama was ready to tell her side of their messy love story to the Big O, but TMZ.com reports there won't be any sharing with the group --word is her lawyer ANNE KILEY did not think the interview was a good idea. Chic Sh*t:
Just in time for Halloween, MAC Cosmetics' Venomous Villains line of makeup has hit the stores.
Call it the anti-Princess line. Instead of paying homage to Disney sweethearts such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella or Snow White, they're inspired by cartoon bad gals (and guy): fashionista fiend Cruella De Vil from "101 Dalmatians," the Evil Queen from "Snow White," nasty fairy Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty" and voodoo magician Dr. Facillier from "The Princess and The Frog."
The hues are fairly fierce. Maleficent's "Mean and Green" nail lacquer matches her fairy complexion; the Evil Queen's "Vile Violet" eyeshadow would go with her regal cape; Dr. Facllier's Magically Cool Liquid Powder gives a nod to his voodoo skilz; and Cruella's crimson lipstick "Heartless" alludes to her penchant for puppy fur garments.
Prices from $12 to $25. (Kaye)Reality Round-up:
E! Networks says the two KARDASHIAN sisters, KIM and KOURTNEY, have signed to star in yet still another reality show based in New York City. "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" will follow-up on their previous series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," and air beginning in January.
Meanwhile, start shrinking your ears if you want to land a date with KIM KARDASHIAN. The reality show star tells Star magazine "I'm obsessed with guys with tiny ears. They turn me on." (Myers)The Reel Deal:
GEORGE ROUSH at Latino Review has scoop on the upcoming "Hangover 2" plot: confirmation that the gang will reunite for another night or two of drunk and disorderly fun in Thailand. The question the guys have to solve this time: whether Stu (played by ED HELMS) had sex with a Taiwanese transvestite hooker. And the beat goes on.
Grace notes:
OZZY OSBOURNE will be the first to tell you that he has always been a huge BEATLES fan. To commemorate what would have been JOHN LENNON's 70th birthday on Saturday, Ozzy has recorded a version of "How" from John's "Imagine" album.
The track is available now on iTunes with all proceeds going to Amnesty International. You can see the video, filmed in New York City at popeater.com. (Marino)
