Hello from Toronto, Canada, where it makes the weather in Minnesota seem warm and wonderful. Where a slice of European flair is in the air and where hockey player Tim Horton has wisely placed his winnings in a chain of coffee stores that make picture perfect donuts and muffins and "okay" coffee. This is a lighter roasted coffee, a notch down from Dunkin Donuts, but still good. However, the cups sizes baffle me. I ordered a medium coffee and when I was handed a kiddie cup I said "no I need a medium". the sweet clerk told me it was a medium and proceeded to show me the cup sizes. Note to fellow coffee drinkers: when in Canada, order an extra large coffee if you want any caffeine at all. The size of "Tim Hortons" sweets stuff is standard, in fact the quality and taste is better than it's U.S. competitors but. when it comes down to it a great cup of coffee the US will win out over a delicious something that costs calories any day. When I asked why the cup sizes are so small I started getting the standard 'because Americans always want more answers"; I say we are just more fine tuned to what our bodies need. Or maybe I should have said wired.
