Report Card

The last day of school varies regionally. Alice Cooper's 'Schools out for Summer' is put back in hot rotation for the next couple of weeks. My teen is not done until June 28; my friends in Nebraska were finished last week. Year-end activities could have a mom, a teacher and a student busier than Christmas time. Final exams, studying, grading papers, planning and executing graduation ceremonies and parties, teacher gifts, prom needs and details along with everyday happenings make this not "the most wonderful time of the year" but more like one of the busiest life changing times. Major events and memories are made at this time. Year end activities added to the school duties can really tangle her calendar. Time is of high value right now, so is celebrating the happenings of the day. Take the time to acknowledge, to celebrate and to support this time that bridges her into summertime. Walk across this road with her and she'll take you along on vacation.
