It's one big card day at camp. I'm at Creation-festival in Pennsylvania with my church's youth group and the table next to me is playing a card game called "Big 2," better known as Chinese Poker. My daughter just instructed me to learn this game because the Crazy 8's we play is boring. Another set of campers just swung by on a scavenger hunt; they need to take pictures or certain items, an iPad being one of them. I'm using an iPad and they are thrilled to snap a shot saying they thought this would be the hardest item. Actually every time I pull this iPad out to work it's greeted with a big response from those around me. "Wow, an IPad". I'm wondering if I've become desensitized to the products I've grown accustomed to. I mean my IPad is so last yea and does not have all the bells and whistles of the near model. I'm feeling not unto speed because I don't have this newer model yet those around me are in awe that I even own one. I'm thinking on a how a scavenger hunt for a young mom could go, she could easily snap shots of soiled bibs, diapers, toys, security blankets and then some yet picturing herself taking a nap might be impossible.
