Greek yogurt is a staple in my diet. I prefer the zero percent fat kind, opting to mix in some some Splenda and a chopped apple if I have one. Other staples include egg whites, which stink when you cook them, lots of turkey and chicken and cantaloupe. My girlfriend, Dawn, is a marathon runner and whole grains are added to all meals: bread, pasta and crackers are her staples because she covers so many miles. I hate running, so no heavy carbs for me.

My oldest daughter, now in her twenties finds anything that is pre made to be her staple. College girls on the run have such a difficult time eating right. This sort of prepares them for motherhood when again no one has time to eat right yet they make sure everyone else does. Isn't that backward thinking. Take a poll; see if she spends more on herself or her child. It does all add up and come to think of it, it flies by quite quickly. Maybe I should travel back in time to those late night college pizza runs. C'mon, my daughter learned from the best.
