Hello from Atlanta, and welcome to my week of columns on "Dumb things I gotta spend my money on." Moving is stressful regardless and everything really adds up. I've learned that felt covered discs of swirled plastic, called pacers, are used to move large pieces of furniture around safely on flooring. There's no scratching and the weight seems removed. These little discs save many a back and make moving simpler, yet are twenty eight buck for a pack of four. Who wants to spend that much on these? I've also discovered Home Depot is not just a guy's place. I could walk down almost any isle and find numerous things I need, along with the proper instruction on how to use them. Thankfully fixing a toilet is not on my list of things to work on, my new digs flush well.
