Back to School happens at different times across the region. It's important to acknowledge this on air but not to make an entire show out if it. Back to school has numerous meanings. You could be talking to a school custodian, a teacher of an inner city school whose desire is to change kids lives, or a special needs teacher who is anxious about what's to come this year. You're speaking to moms who are sending their babies off to kindergardeners and are experiencing separation anxiety, or a parent whose child is too sick to attend a regular school. Regardless, if she has kids or not back to school brings on a new traffic pattern in most areas with volume and delays resulting. So take this season beyond the lunch boxes and trapper keepers and take a look at how people's lives and schedules are affected by this reboot of the education system. Then get em' through it with entertaining breaks and the best music ever.

She rocks
There is a good chance someone in her life has an almost illegal love for guitars. Guitars are by far America's most popular musical instrument, and there is always something new in that huge and lucrative market (this one priced at only $3,370). For the traveling guitar lover, lugging around the instrument can be risky and awkward. Swedish pilot Fredrik Johansson formed the DeVillian Guitar Company and developed a travel guitar. The Centerfold electric guitar folds in half and fits into a small carry-on backpack. It has to be seen and heard to appreciate how well it actually plays. Packing takes less than 30 seconds...unfold, and she's ready to rock.
