So I'm sitting in a salon chair at Eye Candy, a hair salon in Nashville, getting a partial foil and hair cut. Adding some hair lingo into your on-air vocabulary couldn't hurt by the way. Usually changing hairdressers is a traumatic experience for a woman. Yet, I find myself excited about this new salon and person. Based on the recommendation of a girlfriend I choose this salon, the recommended stylist was unavailable so "Charity" is doing my hair, and she's doing a great job. I want to tell you more about Charity as she represents so many working women. Charity is beautiful, blonde, stylish and friendly. She and her boyfriend J.R. Are expecting a baby girl in a few weeks and they will name her Daisy. Doesn't that just paint a sweet southern picture in your mind? Charity assures me J.R. Is exactly as his name lends: big, strong and country. He works in his family business where they are responsible for piping and drilling water holes. His family is very much in the unsung heroes club, as they perform a service we need and don't recognize needs to happen. They had planned on getting married but the date they picked is now when their baby is due. I have a head full of foils and a sweet family in my mind and a woman in the chair next to me speaking about her guitar playing husband who is touring with a famous country singer. I love eavesdropping! I am totally looking forward to the hair cut portion of this broadcast :)
