Baby You're a Firework

Last night I heard the popping of fireworks. (Cue the Katy Perry song). I looked into the sky and saw nothing, but the noise kept coming. I finally ventured out to the front of my street and saw a family a few houses down setting off bottle rockets and roman candles. while wearing birthday hats. It was a real scene to see two small boys carefully light a stick that was firmly planted in the street then run back to their parents who were waiting patiently for them in the driveway. The sticks would pounce fiery balls of color into the air. I saw a bucket and a fire extinguisher near by and thought 'how smart.' My teen soon joined me and wondered if fireworks were legal in the state of Georgia. As we sat down in our own driveway and watched the show I thought "who cares, this is great."
