Summer camp memories range from a campers first kiss to their first time away from home. Pitching tents and learning to start a fire are just a sampling of what today's kids are doing. These nomadic skills still hold much value, and not just incase someone ends up on Survivor. Parents have many options on where their kids can go over the summer. My friend Jodi sends her three kids away for eight weeks in the summer to the Adirondacks where they swim, hike and craft. Meanwhile, she uses the time to catch up on life before school starts up again. It's well worth the small fortune in cost for her to do this. They end the summer with a wonderful vacation where all are happy to be together. On the other hand, my friend Jolene spends her summer with her three girls at a camp, also in the Adirondacks. She's the camp cook and her kids help in the kitchen and get to participate in all camp activities. Disney has a camp program, local Aquariums do too; there's movie camp, rock camp, study abroad camp..so many choices. The decision on how her kids will spend the summer is very important to her. Most likely that decision was made a while ago, you are hanging with her as this important decision unfolds.

Immunizations—Children are required to have up-to-date immunizations and physicals for back to school and to play sports. To avoid interruptions in your child's education or sports time, schedule your child's physical exam early. Immunizations protect your child and prevent the spread of diseases such as measles, mumps and
influenza. If you have questions or concerns about the vaccines your child is going to receive do not hesitate to speak to your child's doctor. During your visit be sure to ask your child's doctor for a "school, and sports" physical form. She may need to provide copies to your child's school, and sports programs. *Always keep a copy for
your records.• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
