In order to avoid any nice surprises on my cell phone bill I had my kids leave their cellular devices at home during last weeks trip to London. Bringing them over seas could be detrimental to my monthly budget, as those roaming charges really add up fast; besides we would be together the entire trip so there was no immediate need for them. I tell them they have a cell phone so I can stay connected with them, they smirk agreeably but think otherwise. Cell phones are keys to their social interaction. I also had them take a break from Facebook stating no vacation details could be mentioned until after we returned. They wasted no time in getting reconnecting with their online communities and their Twitters and status updates proved that. They also really helped in getting life back to normal by helping with laundry, groceries and cleaning. I, on the other, hand still have 50 million things I'm trying to finish up. But isn't it always like that?
