March roars in wearing a lamb costume as women make their way through each day, each responsibility, and each decision. A day can bring another mundane task, or something more tragic like the loss of a job or a challenging medical diagnosis. One gives perspective to the other. I'm working with two different sets of labwork for family members who have some yellow flags waving regarding their health. Much love to all the medical office staffers who really have a lot of appointments and balls to juggle daily. It's been lovely spending a good portion of my time chatting with you. This makes me more thankful for a good working bluetooth device. There are days when it seems like I wake, turn around, tu and its midnight, and others that drag on so long I simply can't get into bed soon enough. This is a time of Lent for some, a time to give or give up, while Easter candy looms on the shelves. Open-shoed toes and lightweight clothes greet us when she shops, usually while wearing winter attire. It's amusing for some, shopping for a swimsuit while wearing a parka. Magazines, TV commercials, print ads, and junk mail all tease about the better weather that is to come and offer deals on sunny vacation destinations. It's still wintertime; kids are still in school and the boss still wants that proposal on his desk by the end of the day. Spring break is on the horizon with warm weather vacations waiting for families who have braved too many winter storms, and for college students who desire a rest from their studies. I've questioned my kids form of "rest" and cautiously allows them to go off with my words of wisdom tucked into their pockets along with some extra cash and a fully charged cell phone. Whatever happened to that long winter's nap?
