Back to Shopping

Back to school shopping has finished up and mos stores offer great deals on some items with the expectation that a pricier gadget will be bought as well. I usually purchase extras of the items I know my kids will run out by winter break. I stockpile folders, erasable pencils, pens, loose leave paper. But, it's different with clothes. I don't purchase a ton of stuff for my kids prior to the start of school mainly because summer wear is still okay for the hallways, plus the kids need to access the fashion situation at school to see who is wearing what or which designer. What's in and what's out will be determined in those first few weeks of school. If my kid purchases something that turns into an item on the don't list it will get lost in the boughs of her closet, never to be worn again. All of this happens before the credit card bill even comes. However, if you have kids there is a "safe list". If you bought skinny jeans, hoodies, band t-shirts, and Converse you probably won't be making an exchange. Target got a good portion of my back to school budget, they really have a good line of clothes, supplies, food, toliet paper...its a one stop shop that makes a mom happy. Pac Sun, Tilly's, and American Eagle are other "in" places to shop and a iPhone or iPad is their favorite accessory. I remember Earth shoes being a popular back to school item when I was younger, what does she remember?
