Different regions take and order their coffee differently. Ordering coffee in the south is different compared to the north east coast I am accustomed to, this is where regular coffee automatically comes with milk and sugar and "light and sweet" is a way of life. Cream happens and coffee drinkers unite at all hours of the day and night. West coast coffee is more like a wheat grass shot and coffee anywhere else is safest taken black.
My first attempt at ordering a coffee light with milk in the south brought me a cup of Joe with a splash of milk. In the south light milk means a small amount not a lighter shade. Thankfully the baristas in the south are a bit more polite, so adding a little extra is " not a problem darlin," a response I would not get at a Dunkin Donuts in the Bronx.• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
