Etsy and The Frugal Gals finally convinced me to purchase some dryer balls. Dryer ballssupposedlysoften your clothesevery time you use them. They take thestiffness out of clothes, sheets, and towels naturally, with no chemical or toxins.I found mine at TJ Maxx while waiting in line to purchase workout gear,keratinshampoo, candles and an ice cream scoop (man,I love this store.) My arms were full when I spotted the dryer balls, but I was able to put one more thing in my basket beforemakingmy way to check-out number three.

My internet friends tell me these dryer balls will eliminate the need for a dryer sheet, willlast a long time, treat theenvironment and my clothes well, and save me a little cash. I'm listening to my dryer roll these balls around with my towels right now. It's a noisy dry alright, but I haven't had to purchase dryer sheets in forever. What I need protection from now is my teenage daughters who justfreely pour all the fabric softener they want into the washer without thinking about how this stuff is $13.00 a bottle. That's a pricey wash, and it's not even for a car.

This dryer ballexperiment is still without a final conclusion, but these noisy little things seem to fit well into my laundry routine so whoknows, maybe purchasing some dryer sheets in the near future will be considered a splurge. There goes the timer on my dryer, the laundry is ready to fold. Now that's what would sell, a self folding dryer. Lookout Roomba, you might have some competition.
