Pressure

There seems to be an annoying pressure that accompanies Spring Break. You open up your favorite social app, and right there is someone enjoying their break much more than you. It used to be okay to just hang out at home during Spring break; now it has to be called a staycation to make the time off feel worthy; and that's if you can weather the sunny posts from your friends who have chosen to vacation someplace warm and (usually) expensive.
I always wonder what those who live in Spring break destinations like Orlando or California do during their breaks. Do they house a lot of friends who want to experience a change of pace, or do they travel somewhere cold?
Regionally, Spring break happens at different times. With the winter this entire country is rebounding from, I'm expecting the airlines to be reporting good profits, and theme parks to be close to capacity. Staycations, on the other hand, offer much more quality radio time while your listener enjoys the benefits of their home city. Truth be told most people don't really enjoy or know of everything their town has to offer unless it's through a child's field trip or Groupon. What can you remind her to check out while she has some time off?
It's taking a break that's important, where she springs-to shouldn't be a competition. Beside, you can travel anywhere with your listener as long as they have your station's app; you might want to remind her to get TSA pre-check too.
