"School bus driver braids hair every morning for a student who lost her mother."
This is a bittersweet story to share, but will really reach a woman-centered audience. I choose this story any day because I know my demo will connect with it over a gossipy, evergreen share.
For our female-identifying audience, finances are always top of mind, too, especially with April being tax month. I know a lot of moms who use their tax refund to finance their kid's summer camps, or help with college costs. While our culture encourages us to treat ourselves, most can't afford to do that. Thank those great analytical number crunchers, too, where would we be without our accountants!
The "Rosanne" revival is bound to bring more content that we used to love but in a refreshed, familiar way. We might not see Melrose Place return, but we can talk about it. You are a familiar place, so plant yourself right in the passenger seat next to her, or on the fireplace mantel where she keeps Alexa, or better yet in the palm of her hand right on her phone when she wants to win concert tickets, or a station t-shirt. Remember how many channels can lead the listener right back to you.
