Exhausting

COVID is exhausting our conversations. Discussing the vaccine on the air can be divisive. If you get to choose to get vaccinated, you, as the personality, have a right to share this experience, and a responsibility to think carefully about how to share.
My second shot of Moderna took me down for the count, I lost two days to that vaccine (worth it). Exactly 12 hours after my dose the chills started in my feet, worked their way to my head, and I could not find enough warmth for the following day. I became Beth The Puddle the next day, day as body-aches overtook me. But, by day three I was eating again moving on. Four members of my family received their second dose on the same day, two received Pfizer and 2 received Moderna. I had the worst reaction overall. My oldest daughter was tired and achy but able, my youngest had the flu set in just like me, but Midol oddly took it away in a few hours, and her roommate had no symptoms except a sore arm. So, it’s an individual journey no doubt.
But, there is more to life than this virus, and folks are trying to get to that stage of new normal. What I am saying is, choose carefully how you will share the stuff that’s exhausting, make it relevant and real, and include the other stuff, like how cool it is to know that baseball is happening, graduations are being planned, airplanes are filling up, and babies still need diapers changed. Pets and babies always bring a smile. @Bethbacall
