By now, summer break is in full effect nationwide. Her new summer schedule includes dropping off kids at summer camp before she heads to work, cleaning the pool, and lathering on sunscreen. Her winter weight can be countered by the new, fresh alternatives at her local farmer's market or grocery store, and grilling becomes a way a life. Past-due graduation and wedding presents will finish up her month. Midday makeup meltdowns have her clamoring for pressed powder while she shuffles around in her cropped pants, opting not to wear linen as it wrinkles too much. Her challenges include dry, cracked heels that show while wearing sandals, sweltering cars seats and finding her kid's swimming goggles that were thought to be lost forever. Whether the wax is hot or cold, or she's using her new Lady Schick shaver, she's removing body hair faster than you can say ouch! Painted toes can really tell a lot about her personality: Does she fancy the clean French-manicured toe, the bright-red statement, or the popular shades of black? She battles fluctuating hormones, traffic, and insurance-claim adjustors. She savors the feel of fresh-cut grass between her toes and the sweet-smelling laundry she folds while watching a DVD from Netflix. Sometimes she feels like she is losing her mind; like when she loses her car keys in a matter of seconds, and her husband finds them right where she always leaves them. Whatever! There is a pint of Ben & Jerry's calling her name...can't ya just hear it?
Right now she could be
- Helping her college student pack for a trip abroad
- Filling the kiddy pool with water
- Painting her toe nails
- Writing a postcard
She Buzz Words
- Mulch
- Lemonade

- Frisbee
She does the math
- 1 Natural Choice Organic Full of Fruit Frozen Fruit Bar = 53 calories
- 1 Vanilla & Almonds Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream Bar = 320 calories
She fact
According to SADD-Students Against Destructive Decisions-teen drivers increase their risk to be involved in an auto accident in the summer. They are driving more than during the school year and staying out later. But parents who set driving limits also limit their teen's chances to get in an accident. To see the SADD contract between parents and teen drivers, log onto www.sadd.org, click "Resources", then "Contract for Life".
She's not itchy!
Don't be without a "Don't Bug Me!"patch. It's a natural patch using vitamin B1 and aloe to keep those nasty bugs away. After applying, this patch works in two hours and provides 36 hours of protection. No DEET, so it's kid-safe, and it's waterproof. She thinks this is a must-have for the summer season.
She vent
"How come veggie burgers never show up at the barbecue?"
She's continues to repeat
"Hang up your towels; it's a floor, not a hamper."
She's sleeping
According to the U.S. National Association of Home Builders, there is a growing need for houses with two master bedrooms. Due to the rise of sleeping disorders, some spouses are choosing to spend the night apart in order to get a better night's rest. What does she think about this?
