We are just about half way through the year. Do you even remember your New Year's resolution or care about it anymore? I hate to say it but holiday stuff will start filtering it's way into the stores sooner than we would like; this gives even more reason to enjoy the summer season we just officially started. I wouldn't try to motivate any listener with fear, but reality does seem to work, otherwise shows like The Jersey Shore and Survivor wouldn't do so well in the ratings department. Besides, the holidays never really fully go away. There's always someone in the neighborhood that leaves their Christmas lights up (not necessarily on), and there will be times where she'll go to move a rug or a piece of furniture only to find a lost ornament or old pine needles; remnants of that jolly time we really must not think about now. Laying in the sun, barbecuing with friends, late night volleyball leagues should be talked up. Whatever happened to sitting out front with the neighbors while the kids play hide and seek? Perhaps sending a text message could gather the troops on that, provided she knows her neighbors. There are so many puzzle pieces you get to play with while you're on the air, as music is key to most summer activities. So drop the top baby, remind her that the feel the warm wind in her hair is a good thing, while it's still around.
