I've a tongue in cheek joke when it comes to camping. I prefer to do it in a four-star hotel. Well that joke is changing as I just returned home from a weekend camping trip to Creation Fest 2010 at Agape farms in Pennsylvania.
This enormous three day Christian concert was wall to wall tents and trailers and thousands of people. Living without indoor plumbing and hot running water was something I was willing to forego to have this experience. I saw women pitching tents and setting up kitchens, cooking food and playing games with their kids and friends. They all at one point or another sat in a field watching the artists, loving the sun and music. It was awesomely pleasant. I honestly did not see much 'drama". I was beginning to understand why camping is so popular. This is truly time spent together with whoever happens to be on your site. The freezing camp showers were not my favorite way to stay clean but sleeping under the stars was more than adequate compensation. My temporary living situation in the great outdoors forced this city girl to enjoy the greenest trees, the quietness of the mountains and the taste of coffee with dew on it. I decided that the thin layer of dust that continually covered my body was a good thing as it evened out my skin tone.

Caffeine comes to her rescue at many different hours throughout her busy day. Sometimes she needs a bigger jolt than others. Enter the Periodic Table of Caffeine Beverages. Just like chemistry class, this chart displays the caffeine content of 54 beverages and is actually a tool used in gyms and doctor's offices. It includes info ranging from an 8 ounce of decaf coffee (2 milligrams of caffeine for every 8 ounces) to a Starbucks double shot (160 mg per 8 ounces). Cost is $14.95 at www.learningzoneexpress.com.
She fact!
According to the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and after several studies, there is no evidence that cell phones promote brain tumors.
She veggie
Produce is plentiful, with plums, blueberries, corn, and peaches at the peak of their season. And let's not forget all the different varieties of tomatoes: Heirloom, plum, cherry, beef- steak, yellow, green, and grape. She's preparing lighter meals (salads, grilled veggies) and it's easier to get through those eight glasses of water she's expected to drink with the hot temperatures.
