Stale Chips

I always feel better after cleaning out my pantry. I don't always want to clean it out but once I get going to it there is no stopping me. I take every box of cereal, every can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup (a casserole staple) and every box of pudding I have and place it all on the kitchen table. I find cellophane packs of bland crackers left over from fruit and cheese baskets that no one wants; empty bags of Sunchips, Ramen (a kid staple) and crumbs. I throw away all the munchies that went stale because someone (not me) did not repackage them properly. I mean, there is a reason for the wax paper like bag inside the box of Ritz. Chip Clips are used on the Dorito's and I even alphabetize my spice rack. My pantry gets a thorough cleaning; the shelves, the floor, the door. And when it's all said and done I stand before it in admiration, loving the neatness of it all until some hungry family member saunters by seeking a snack to which an evil glare is cast and the pantry remains neat, until I'm not looking.
