Backing Up

All it takes is 10 minutes for my freshly washed car (complete with interior vacuuming) to get dirty. Let me preface that: within minutes of my kids needing a ride somewhere my clean car gets dirty. This is not from the normal dirt found on the bottoms of their shoes but from gum wrappers, guitar cases, books, bottles of water and bags of stuff they bring into the car and conveniently leave there. For some odd reason taking their goods directly inside after they return home is not something they want or like to do. Beach bags with wet suits, lunch boxes with empty cups fall on the floor and stay there until removed. Recently I cleaned out all their stuff from the back of my vehicles: yoga mats, soccer balls and cleats, lacrosse sticks, more books and a guitar lay in my driveway. Afterwards, I carried as much as I could into the house and then into the respective owners rooms, plopping the items on their beds. However, I accidentally forget about the guitar which leaned up against the garage door wall. The same guitar accidentally fell under my wheel when I backed out later that day. OUCH!
Well, that's one way to get a kid to start bringing there things in from the car.

www.DonateMyDress.com is a national network that brings together local dress drives across the country. She can donate a dress she no longer needs, perhaps those prom dresses her daughter won't wear anymore. This site encourages girls to give their slightly worn formalwear to those who can't afford to dress for a special occasion. If she is in need of a dress, she can get information on how she can be on the receiving end too.
