The fall harvest is now the decorating scheme that graces many store windows and homes. Autumn colors, plaid fabrics and pumpkins are used regularly. My friend Haydee, a stay at home mom and doctor's wife, changes all her bedding and window treatments every season. Lightweight summery cotton bed sheets and linen curtains are now at the cleaners and have been replaced with heavier blankets and drapes in rich and bold colors. She also changes up the flowers in her centerpieces, towels, light shades and area rugs. She has a great eye for decorating and her family and home are her centerpiece, sort of like the mom in "The Blind Side". Most women do not go to this much of an extreme. I change up my kitchen towels and add a few little touches here and there with items I have collected throughout the years. Christmas, however, is a different story; this is the one time most of us go all out. You help decorate her house by providing the soundtrack for her life. She makes all these changes with you close by: in the car while she's driving to the dry cleaners or in the home when she's struggling with a tension rod. Keep it seasonal in color and content and let her know where she can get more decorating ideas. And while you're at it, a good crock pot recipe could go a long way.

How long has that been in the refrigerator? Is it still safe to eat? She's asked herself this a few times, now she can check with a virtual sniff test. She can search www.stilltasty.com to see if it's okay.
If she uses a tanning bed before the age of 30, her skin cancer risk is in the 75th percentile.
She fashion
The old rule of not wearing white after Labor Day is not current fashion truth. She just needs to wear it properly. Now she's wearing white with fall colors, but she definitely has not abandoned it.

She tip
She should be saving her job-hunting receipts; these expenses may be tax-deductible. Things like resume copies, travel, cell-phone charges, gas, tolls, career counseling, and headhunting services may all be a write-off for her.
