Homecoming is this weekend and my daughter Hannah could care less if she had a dress or not. She's a freshman and a part of the student council, but feels these festivities are 'over-rated'. She's the complete opposite of her sister who enjoyed dressing up for this and any occasion very much. Thankfully, there are many hand-me-downs that will be suitable for Hannah to wear to the dance. It might not be to her taste and style but it's in house and ready to go. Moms need to keep track of this stuff otherwise I hear "oh yea I need a dress for a dance that happens tomorrow night". I am speaking from experience, and I know I'm not alone. Unless you are a beyond type A mom who is absolutely perfect down to the lipstick and full tank of gas everyday, a forgetful memory is in your past. One friend's daughter remembered at midnight that she had volunteered her mother to bake 50 cupcakes to be delivered to school the next morning. I know this because she sent me a text at 1 a.m. telling me she was about to start baking. She had quickly driven to the nearest store to buy cake mix, cupcake holders and icing. It's worse when kids forget about things like due dates for science projects and book reports. Or when they forget where they left their expensive hockey skates or backpack.
It's funny that the older a woman gets the more her memory gets challenged. I don't believe it's from lack of hormones, but from remembering everything her kids forgot along the way!

She ewwww...
The Good Housekeeping Research Institute tested numerous pairs of movie theater 3D glasses and found anything but clean results. They tested glasses, both wrapped in plastic and un- wrapped, and found lots of germs including those that cause skin infections such as conjunctivitis and pneumonia. She better bring anti-bacterial wipes to the theater from now on.

The South Thames College in London has a class on how to master walking in heels. This six week course was meant for teens, but many ladies have signed up. Taught by former Elton John back-up singer Chyna Whyne whose salary is subsidized by British taxpayers, this class has proven to be quite popular.
