I've done half of my Christmas shopping so far. Don't hate me, it's just that I made a list and I'm on a budget and I like to get things bought and paid for before December. And, even though I start out ahead of the game, I always manage to do some form of shopping the week of Christmas. The shopping I've done is minimal; mostly gift cards an a few items that I just happened to see at Home Goods, one of the best places to gift shop. My items were reasonably priced and specifically purchased for someone on my list. You see the list is essential and I am not unique with this plan of attack. Many women are walking around right now with a holiday list of people they need to buy for, plus they are on the look-out for some items they can buy just incase a secret Santa or a last minute gift needs to happen. She's carrying more than this gift list, chances are she's got a list for groceries, beauty and cleaning supplies along with a list of things to do. Thankfully my iPhone has a great scribble pad and I've forced myself to ge used to using it but at the end of the day I still find post-it notes in my pockets with reminders of things I need. My recent notes read; pick up prescription, milk and make dermatologist appointment. All three I've not done, yet, they will get carried over to the next pant pocket in hopes that I remember. Remembering to shop for Christmas I've got down, the other things need a little nudge or in this case a piece of paper.

She shops
She's shopping at the Dollar store, finding everything from cleaning products to soft drinks and now items that are over a dollar yet still a great deal like clothes, even Cusiniart's. When shopping at a Dollar store she needs to watch out for the scam as some products are out of date, expiring very soon or defective. Impulse shopping is easy in stores like these, sticking with a list is highly recommended and check with the store policy regarding returns, most sales are final.
