Thanks to my friend Linda's Facebook status today, we get a good idea of how much fun she might not be having:
"Uncle Josh and friends playing at the Turf tonight. Which means I'm out 2 nights IN A ROW. Alert the media."
I have friends that put their kids to bed at 7:30, while their own bed time follows close behind. Others like me stay up too late and have teens that only sleep during the day. It's one thing to stay home, cook dinner, help with homework, drive a kid to and from a practice, watch something on television then hit the hay. It's another to actually go out; that requires work, planning and dressing, make up application, travel arrangements, and a babysitter. There comes a time when women heavily weigh whats most important in their nightlife- sleep or good fun. Staying out for an event that involves a child is one thing, but to actually do something for herself that does not involve clients or a child is a whole different consideration. Obviously, Linda felt nightlife was worth it this week. Hopefully she had a great time and listened to you to and fro.
