Fetch Me The Ballgame And Some Orange Juice, Nathaniel

There has never been footage of the entire Game 7 of the 1960 World Series -- the Mazeroski game. Never, that is, until now. And the source of the lost footage is bizarre: Bing Crosby's wine cellar. Turns out Bing, a part-owner of the Pirates at the time, was nervous and decided to go out of the country rather than watch the game live, but had someone make a kinescope of NBC's telecast in case they won. They did, he came home from Paris and watched it, and then he put it away in the wine cellar, where it sat for 50 years. Someone going through his stuff found the canisters, and now you'll get to see the game in its entirety, including Tony Kubek getting a ball to the Adam's apple on a bad hop. Cool. (New York Times)
