Does Anyone Really Think You Can Rely On The Cable Company?
-
A grandmom bled to death from a cut on her foot, and her widower is suing Comcast for mishandling the emergency through their digital telephone service. But she dialed 0, not 911, and that delayed things, because the operator had to manually figure out who to call and then transfer her. Her husband wants to know why Comcast couldn't give the emergency crew the address -- the operator said she didn't have it -- while they always have it for billing. But, again, wouldn't you call 911 directly? (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
